DOM Restaurant (No. 6 of The World's 50 Best Restaurants 2013) - 09/12/2013.

The Restaurant is in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
This picture was taken at Avenida Paulista rightn in front of our hotel. The restaurant is about 10 minutes drive from here, taxi fare BRL$8, less than S$5.

Interior of the Restaurant. We were sitting right in front of the kitchen glass panel.

The South Americans take their dinners very late. Restaurants normally open around 8pm. Our reservation was at 9pm. We arrived in Sao Paulo at local time 5pm, after 26 hours of flying time from Singapore. By the time we checked into the hotel, it was already 7pm. After a shower, just in time for our dinner.

The restaurant has 2 Tasting menus, 8 course and 4 course. As we were too tired and had no appetite, we took a 4 Course with wine pairing, it cost just over S$350 per person.

This is something we had the first times, 2 Deep Fried Amazon Ants, one solo and one pair with a piece of pineapple. We were asked to try the solo one first, the original taste of Amazon Ant.  They have very clear lemongrass and ginger tastes.

Wild Rocket @ Mount Emily - 6 Nov 2013

The restaurant was recommended by my friend Jessica Tan. I wanted to try it out but never really made an effort until I read in The Strait's Times that it was going to close on 30 Nov 2013 and relocate sometime somewhere in 2014.
The restaurant is owned by a lawyer turned chef, Mr Willin Low.
It is hidden at the top of mount Emily. So it is not that convenient to get there if you don't drive, but if you drive, you can't drink.
Food is a mixture of western and local. A typical example is their signature dish, Dry Laksa Pasta.
My impression:
Nice cozy place, food is unique and taste is good, Price is not too high.

Osteria Mozza @MBS - 01 Nov 2013

Located in Los Angeles and now Singapore, Osteria and Pizzeria Mozza is the creation of Michelin star Chefs - Mario Batali, Joe Bastianich and Nancy Silverton.
I have been to pizzeria Mozza next door but not Osteria Mozza, so when Wine.Asia.Com organized an event at this place, I signed up.
My impression:
Nice ambience, good service, good food but just another good restaurant of nothing special.
